was talking to my boss (cetified car nut) and was talking about LWF's for the Z. Don't remember how, but the conversation turned to racing. He's an old school big block domestic iron type of guy. He said domestic drag racers would put extra heavy flywheels on to store energy for the launch. But, as a side effect, you cuold shift at WOT and not over-rev since the flywheels were so heavy. You could keep your engine in your peak rpm band when shifting gears and never drop rpm. I haven't searched to verify that, just thought I'd mention it.
